MY LAST DAY OF BTECH
So finally my 4 years of BTECH comes to an end officially. On the last exam day ,all my parallel students were busy taking photos, getting autographs,Tshirt scribbling and much more.I just wanted to be more of a viewer enjoying and capturing these moments rather than being a part myself so i just enjoyed watching all this fun and decided to dedicate an entire day to go to each place i visited in my btech and recollect all the memories to the fullest without any regrets for my life😃.So this is a detailed view of my perception in my complete 4 years.
1.Cse -My core department
This is the first and most important part because i spend my 4 years in this building.I still remember my first day where i was still in school child mood...trying to be as calm and cool as possible. The one week full of recreation and induction classes were very much helpful for me to adjust to the main circullum classes.Tug of war and many other games were played.I enjoyed a lot😊.Coming to academics first time everything was very very new as if i was reading an unknown language.I didnt have any required notes nor guidance nothing added to my nature..For the first time i just passed with pass marks in my life. Its a time where i can never forget in my life.Going forward i was doing good in all subjects english ,Physics,c but maths haunting didnt leave me.I literally saw time flying away but me stuck at the same point. For the first time in my life i couldnt sleep. Then came my Semester exams which i just hoped to pass which itself is a new feeling to me because throughout my schooling i was an above average students staying in top 5 positions but my downfall to below average level deeply confused me.Then comes my 2nd sem where i was somewhat better than before. Then came Covid pandemic because of which i had to stay at home for 1+years.The unforgettable moment here is we have to write all the pending 2nd sem exams, labs all at a time within a span of 2 weeks.I cant forget how restless i was during that time and this also is a very new experience in my life.Coming to 3rd sem ,Online classes were conducted and frankly i didnt get interest to attend the classes because from my schooling i saw classes as mandatory obligation instead of a new area of learning. In case of offline i had no choice but to sit in classes but here i can just simply manage time so i just turned on the video and did my works because even attendance is digitally taken and i neednot do anything but i didnt notice the fact that times are changing and teachers started asking random questions, taking oral attendance. The comedy fact is that i didnt even knew this was going on because i was least bothered of all these where i was caught and i can say it was the most shocking part in my life😏.Then again 2nd wave came and followed by 3rd sem classes 4th sem classes started. Now i was not as bad as 3rd sem and tried my best .There is no problem in 4th sem except my parents getting COVID😔 while thankfully they recovered. Here comes the most adventrous and traumatic moments continous exams and labs of 3rd and 4th sem.The thing is labs are not conducted online in 4th sem so when college reopened for one month straight from morning to evening without any break we had do do our lab sessions, record works ,viva which was very very heptic.Followed by internal lab and then external lab and sem exams. This is the first time in my life where i got my 1st backlogs.I was shell shocked and deeply disappointed with my failure.Generally when a failure comes there are two phases. One is fighting them and other is surrendring .I did the second one. This one failure badly effected my next two sems.I lost interest in everything.I just went to college to maintain 75% attendance.I tried stayed still doing nothing and watching myself deteoriate both physically and mentally adding up to more backlogs in my previous backlog list .This continued until half part of my 6th sem where i realised its high time to take action now and i started working on making myself back to normal. Then i managed doing things and CDC classes are what i get in 6th sem because its where we were very tight packed for 2 weeks 7 days a week,9:00-5:00pm.Then comes the most magical and healing moments of my BTECH,7th sem.I am basically a very morning person and my college introducted 7am-10am classes followed by my main project .This was very helpful to me that i felt like i was starting to take my refreshing breath again.I had much time to do what i want ,clear my pending backlogs and just bring myself back.I am back to normal now and then other valuable experience is that of my FSI.I liked going to a different environment other than my college,Many new friends added up which i couldnt do in my 3 years of btech and 4 months flew very fast and happily and then for 7-10 days we had to do our final FSI formalties until we completed our sem exams on 21/4/23.
2.Other departments:-Thanks to Open electives we had the experience of visiting and understanding how other departments are,how are the situations, infrastructure faculty there ,how is it different from my core branch etc.,Other departments i visited are IT-because Cse and IT have many things in common ,we saw various types of laboratories and my first Eclass room experience there.ECE-This was regarded as school of the entire college because they were very particular about many minute things also like socks, shoes, timings, discipline just like in school.I spent 2 semesters there and experienced many new things .EEE- I just attended it for one sem and its a good experience. Our dealing sir was very friendly .Civil-This was indirect because I selected this OE in 8th sem and its self study as it took place during my FSI.A good experience.Only branch left is MECH which sadly i couldnt cover in my 4 years😏
3.Library
This has a very special place in my Btech life because right from my first year it fascinated me.First i utilised library to read some self help and story books.Later due to Open Book system implemented in our circullum in our batch itself,I used it to collect textbooks for my exams and later to next level where i started taking books at the beginning of my sem just to avoid writing notes😜.Right from my childhood i was very lazy in writing my notes😂.Then as i said 7th sem gave me more time,i utilised Digital library daily in my 7th sem to do my pending udemy courses and study my academics at the same time.It gave me a very good discipline ,mood motivation which i am sure i wouldnt if i didnt force myself to go to library😁
4.Hostel life :-
I joined my hostel for the first time in my life.It was a mixed emotions. At home i dont do any household works andam always lazy but here i have no choice but to do my own tasks. Its a non AC hostel and except in summers i didnt face any problem like ragging there. My roommates changed every year and all were very friendly to me and became my good friends. My first late night birthday,my first new year party, holi, janmastami ,christmas celebrations are what hostel gave me.To top of it i was appointed as a food committee member.I started joking myself because i dont know anything about cooking except eating😝 and now i am asked to taste and give suggestions.Other memorable one in hostel is auditorium movies where every sunday new moral movies are played every sunday.I never missed them and i enjoyed them to the fullest.Independence day and republic day are other two things which i cant forget because we are to do it mandatorily as we are hostelers😉.Hostel life is very memorable one to me.
5.Non academics:-
In my first year ,there is a rule in hostel that we have to do some sort of activity in the morning. Our college is filled with various facilities for various sports.I am not a sports person and i dont have any interest nor experience in it so i joined gym and it was fruitful and we are safe because we have coach guidance😀I got appointed as ISTE student body coordinator from my department and i can say its truly a gift to me because i could get a few friends circle from other departments and full view of the college because we have to do event promotions so we had to go to every department😁.i witnessed 2 cultural fests(stepcone is its name, only 2 years instead of 4 due lockdown😟,2 annual days). Its a very different vibe during the college.A good experience.
6.Canteen and tea stalls:-
Any BTECH students life cannot complete without these two and even i can say its a good memory in my btech for having refreshment, chitchats, food, zeroxes everything these are inevitable part and are unavoidable😁
Conclusion:-
Btech life has taught me how to deal with failures, how to adapt to situations, getting good senior contacts,Good friends and a very good preperation and exposure to the practical life which we are about to face.
